Some people automatically look good in pictures. My brother is one of those while I am the kind that needs at least 134 selfies taken before one comes out decent. It’s like I forget what to do with my face, how to smile, keep the eyes open and look somewhat human. Maybe I’m possessed by the blinky eye demon and the only thing left to do is to call an exorcist? Anyway, here I am in one of my favorite shirts with a weird dead shade of lip color. Looks cool on picture but a little weird IRL, clearly there is an art form to shading lips that I have yet to master.
Lately I’ve been watching a lot of movies and shows and a surprisingly good one is El Hoyo (2019). It is a Spanish horror movie with its foundation in privilege, class structure and capitalism, the movie portraits all of this very well in a creative and efficient way. I am actually super impressed by El Hoyo and have had it in the back of my mind for almost a week now so it sure made an impression. It is very, very dark, almost to the point of being unbearable and that’s the whole idea with this movie. Anyway, it is definitely not just your usual horror flick, El Hoyo has more depth and darkness than I’ve seen in a long time.
