Top 5 Obsessions

  1. Point and click games. I just started to play Distraint and love, love, love it. It’s not the longest game so if you got a spooky suggestions to retro/retro inspired point and clicks, let me know. But don’t mention I have no mouth and I must scream because that game drives me crazy.
  2. Art Noveau. This style has always fascinated me; fantastical, a little whimsy and beautiful. Since Art Nouveau is more accessible in Sweden than the Victorian style and works well in our little twisted household, I have taken up the task of googling my way around the world. Feeling happy about winning a Tiffany inspired Lily table lamp, even though the shipping of it is somewhat nerve-wrecking.
  3. Brooches. I see so many of them and desperately feel the need for something bigger than a small pin but just can’t seem to find THE ONE. Halp.
  4. Classic literature. If there’s one thing I miss in contemporary horror fiction, it’s the language of all the classic writers and I have yet to explore all there is. Right now I’m cheating a bit and listen to Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, it’s impossible to get tired of it. One author I’ve never read is Agatha Christie. There is no specific reason to why but it felt like it was about time so I just borrowed The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie from my grandma. By the way, in Swedish the title is completely changed and the book is called “The dagger from Tunis”.
  5. Harry Potter. Tis the season of Hogwarts! I’m such a snob for not being extremely appreciative of the films and even though they are cozy, they have nothing on the books. If anyone wonders, I’m a Ravenclaw (but I kinda wish I was a Slytherin) and my patronus is a horse. Tonight we’re re-watching the first movie. The score is nothing but magical.

  1. I’m a Ravenclaw, too. 🙂 I also love Art Nouveau and I hope your lamp arrives safely. I know some people can’t stand mixing different time periods in their decorating but I like mixing older and more modern styles together.

    1. Yay, another Ravenclaw! Thank you, I hate knot knowing how the shipping will go, if the seller packed all the things properly and how badly the package will be treated during shipping. I hope it arrived before the Black Friday craze, that’s usually when shit happens >_< And I have no problems mixing styles either, I like the personality a home gets when it isn't super coordinated!
