OOTD and Finnish mythology

Dress (more of a tunic on me…): HM
Top: HM
Jeans: HM
Boots: New Rock
Purse: Killstar
Necklace: Bird from Hattula by Kalevala

No, I’m not sponsored by HM. They just happen to be the cheapest, closest and biggest store when it comes to basics. Also, they tend to have nice sales, I got the jeans for 100 SEK (about 10 $) this Christmas.
I adore this necklace, Kalevala is a Finnish company and the name comes from the national epic of Finland. The poetry is based in the Finnish and Karelian folklore and mythology, the jewelry is inspired by those stories. According to the ancient people in the north, the seabirds migrating back to the lands were a sign of spring, summer and rebirth. The Bird from Hattula is portraying the flourishing nature, the magic of fertility.
